 Other Types of Pre-purchase Inspections

A used car pre-purchase inspection is comprised of three elements:

  A) The Inspector's qualifications for each mechanical, electrical and frame system.
 B) The inspection criteria used to inspect the vehicle.
 C) Registration documents for the vehicle.

Auto P. I. Used Car Inspections offers a 600-point pre-purchase inspection by a ASE Master Technician who is also frame certified, plus a Texas DMV title search.

There is always a risk when purchasing a used car. The amount of risk you take will depend on your ability to determine the true condition of the vehicle before purchase. Below are the risks associated with some of the different types of inspections used by car buyers.

  1. A CARFAX History Report is not an inspection

  2. Having a friend or relative inspect the vehicle

  3. A shade tree mechanic inspection

  4. Used car dealer inspections

  5. Repair shop inspections

  6. Relying on a "certified used car"

Your best protection when buying a used vehicle is to have the vehicle professionally inspected by a unbiased Master Technician, also trained in frame analysis, who independently works for you. Please read the "1-2-3 Steps" when buying a used car.
